Chief Group were responsible for providing management support and plant for the duplication of the 18Km of railway track between Deer Park and Melton including station and car park upgardes

Work Challenges

The project involved the Interfacing with 18 level crossings at grade.

Chief's scope was to upgrade the level crossings along with all associated earthworks through the alignment.

Chief managed all works across the car park upgrades a including Rockbank, Cobblebank, Bacchus Marsh and Ballan.

Stakeholder Management

Heavy stakeholder interaction and notifications were required for the construction of the car parks and stations along with the local roads. Chief managed these interactions.

Chief also managed the historically sensitive areas by managing the archaeological excavation.

Chief managed the Combined Service Route interface and the storm water / water main relocations.
